Real Estate — Buying Inventory

A common theme that is evident throughout the real estate market in and around Boston is a lack of inventory. There has been a strong flurry of activity since early Fall and buyer’s are extremely motivated to find the right place… wherein lies the problem. The “right place” can be difficult to track down these days because of a lack of new inventory. There has been a dip in the number of new listings to come on the market since late November. This has many buyer’s in a position to buy, without anything to buy. I believe this trend will come to a halt in the near future. As the 2009 numbers begin to infiltrate the media, more positive news of the Boston Market will come to life.
With strong evidence of a recovering market, seller’s will be more inclined to sell, which will solve the problem at hand.
